Few weeks ago, PJ called me up in the middle of office hours to ask me to join him and his colleagues on Outbreak Manila ─ a 5K fun run against time or obstacles and from “flesh eating zombies” inspired by Run For Your Lives. It was held yesterday (041412) in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Fortunately, I didn’t have a scheduled lecture meeting so I was able to participate.
Slept at 12MN. Woke up at 4:30AM. I didn’t get enough sleep, maybe I was too excited. Actually, the only preparation I did for this run was the walking that I usually do every morning and afternoon to and from the office. Hmm, a little jogging and stretching and biking, yes.
Arrived there at around 9AM. The sun was scorching hot!! But we got used to it after being under the sun for several hours. Surprisingly, there were soooo many people who joined the race!
So here we are before the race with our race bibs, health flags and natural costumes :D
From L-R: PJ, Seph, Anj, Jake, Daryl, Dess, Kharish, Mei, Paul, KC, Marco
There were 25 waves consisting of around 100-300 people each (if I estimated it right). The first wave started the race at 5:30AM but ours (wave 22) was at 10AM. We were initially provided with 3 health flags, plus 1 for crawling on the ground :D We needed at least 1 flag left until we reached the finish line so we could be considered “alive”. We even already got tired on the first few meters from the start line because of the zombies but it was really, really fun! :)
It was almost lunch when we finished the race. Yes. We survived the obstacles. We survived the “flesh eating zombies”. WE SURVIVED THE OUTBREAK! And I was like… blah blah blah :))))
After the event, we decided to have lunch at Green ATS Bulaluhan in Tagaytay City. The food was great ─ delicious and affordable ─ as well as the view of ever-famous Taal Volcano.☺
C2 Cool and Clean also announced a photo contest themed “Sarap ng Bukas” so with the photographers, directors, and models (and audiences) around, we had a “product shoot” as what Manong Magka-kabayo said, in the horseback riding area. First prize is 75,000Php, just enough to sustain our vacation desires :D
We also went to South Forbes where we drooled over the exquisite, alluring, classy, extravagant, magnificent, fascinating, grand, enticing, astonishing, breathtaking, wonderful, awesome, statuesque, stunning, lovely, think-of-other-synonyms-for-beautiful houses, I mean, mansions! Gawd, I didn’t know there’s an amazing place in Sta. Rosa like that.(♥_♥) Wish I could own one of them. FYI, one of the Tokyo mansions costs 34 million pesosesoses. Nothing’s wrong with dreaming, besides, it’s free… Right?
We ended the day having dinner and a little time for coffee and chitchats at Shell SLEx.
We didn’t get medals for Top 40 runners (except for Daryl and Marco) but we were able to bring home an Outbreak Manila shirt, a Hygienix hand sanitizer, a sachet of Freshman masculine wash (I wonder if the girls could also use it haha), and a very wonderful experience that we will never forget :)
Today is the first day of Long Weekend #1. Yes. I have to number it because as I have checked, there are 8 long weekends this year! Well, 9 for me. Hihi :)
So what’s with this day?
11th month at work (eCOM)
37th monthsary with PJ
Mom’s coming back home from Cavite after a 4-day vacation
I thought I’d have a date with my boyfriend today because it’s our monthsary. Well, it’s just a thought…
Picked up Mom at Araneta Center with my bro and Jetty this morning. Nabitin tuloy ako sa bed weather. Hehe. Went to SM City Marikina. Had lunch at Greenwich. Yummy Lasagna and Hawaiian Pizza, I missed.♥ (Forgot to take a picture so you’d drool. Hihi.) Since it’s still early and we had nothing to do, we decided to window shop, but we failed… Why? Here:
Fan of Maybelline New York? Hehe. Cos aside from the cheap price, everything there’s worth buying. So I realize it’s about time to update my makeup kit.
Clear Smooth Aqua Gel Foundation (24 True Beige), 349Php ─ This one’s water-based since I have oily skin on the face. I tried to use it and it really evens out skin tone :)
2-in-1 Impact Shadow Liner by Eyestudio (Black) ─ I got this months ago for only 350Php, if I’m not mistaken. This one’s creamy. Now, I prefer using this instead of my IN2IT Liquid Eyeliner Waterproof with Matte Finish (Nylon Hair Brush tip). I think this one’s better ü
Make up Remover for Eye and Lip, 99Php ─ I need this because it’s giving me a hard time removing my eyeliner/mascara using petroleum jelly/water. I used it and it instantly removes my eye makeup :D
Fashion 21 Blush Brush, 50Php (not in the picture) ─ I bought this in the meantime. Before, I used nylon brush and it just irritated my skin. (PS: My skin’s a bit sensitive.) This one’s soft and good for my Clear Smooth Shine-free Blush ;)
After having some DQ Sandwich, I passed by The Surplus Shop and saw this:
To be washed :)
I got this H&M blouse for only 349.75Php. This fits just right for me. It seldom happens that a blouse like this fits as if sinukatan ako. So I bought it :D I also saw a trendy winter coat but I didn’t focus much on it. I didn’t even bother to check the price… because as far as I’m concerned, I have no plans of going to Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Paris, New York, or anywhere else outside the country this year. Hmmm, maybe next year :)
“There’s really nothing like shopping to cheer you up.” ─ Lane Daniels, Beauty and the Briefcase
Shopping resumes on the third week of February :D Planning to go to thrift shops in Anonas, Trinoma, 168 (and the mall beside it) and Greenhills. Hihi. Bank account, get ready!!! :))))
Off to a meeting with my church friends in a bit. Then tomorrow, I’m going to see my college friends again in Papa John’s Tomas Morato.♥
And this is what happened to what I was cooking while doing this blogpost:
HAHAHAHAHA! Nakakahiya naman sa guest ko (Mommy) :s
Hope everyone had a great Saturday! 2 more days to go! Don’t waste it :) And it’s Sunday tomorrow, don’t forget to visit Him <3
MY 23rd BIRTHDAY TURNED OUT TO BE EXTRA SPECIAL. THANK YOU SO MUCH <3
Hi.
My birthday has already ended but the smile on my face has not been erased yet. I still look like this: ^_____^ Kiddin’.
I started my day by hearing the Holy Mass. at 5:30AM. I was already in the church at 5AM with only a few people (like 10?). Haha. As part of the homily, the priest shared,
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
When you have something, it’s for you not to keep it but to share it with others. That’s what I’m doing.
When I came back from the church, my mom gave me her gift…
…a huge glass I’ve been dreaming of. Hahaha! It may sound mababaw but I always wanted to have this (actually, the set of 6, hehe). Great thing my mom still has a good memory, she didn’t miss it. Hihi :p
Before I left home for work (yes, I went to work even if it’s my birthday, why not?), my boyfriend sent me a link to this video on Youtube.
Yes, it’s really sweet…<3 After I watched it, I found him outside our house with the gift box and a box of cake in his hands. He kissed and greeted me “Happy Birthday”. :’)
I came to the office 9 minutes late, unfortunately, but the reason was worth it :D
Everyone greeted me at the office. One of my officemates even handed me this birthday card that really made me smile…
My immediate supervisor also gave me a pair of cute beaded bracelets wrapped in a paper box she made before I left :)
Got home around 6:30PM. My mom and I had some picture-taking moments: blowing of candles and slicing of cake. Hihi.
I was excited to open my boyfriend’s gift to me. He gave me an Ozaki iMini Cute and a Triple Chocolate Cake roll. Both I told him I wanted to have for n times :’)
After planning for a loooong time, finally, I, together with my milk tea buddies (Soph, Dimple and Franz) and PJ, was able to experience milk tea in the newly-opened Moonleaf Tea Shop in Marikina (in front of OLOPSC). This served as my birthday treat to them.
I missed this. Wintermelon Milk Tea with Pearls is L-O-V-E.<3
Gifts from them! Animal prints, they know I love.♥
Right after the milk tea party, I went to a friend’s house as he was asking me to “help” him make another movie for an important person in his life. Then, I knew there was a surprised birthday party for me from my Eco-DMT family :)
If you’re my friend on Facebook, you may view all the pictures here.
IT WAS INDEED A WONDERFUL DAY FULL OF BLESSINGS.
Let me use this blog post to thank everyone for all the birthday greetings (through SMS, phone call, IM, tweets, Wall posts), prayers, wishes and gifts. I am very much glad to know that there are a lot of people who truly love me.<3<3<3
Walang na-grant sa kahit anong item sa birthday wishlist ko, pero if you’re gonna ask me, “Musta birthday?” I’ll still say, “MASAYA. Sobrang saya… dahil sa kanila.” ♥
To my family, boyfriend, Eco-DMT family, relatives, friends, officemates and everyone, you just made a good deed ─ you made one soul happy. MY soul.
Secret to a happy life: Just make God your bestest friend, and you’ll never have to worry about anything.
After office, I went straight to his office. We planned to go to Antipolo and experience the newly opened Starbucks Coffee in Victory Park & Shops, right in front of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Cathedral… But we ended up having dinner at the freezing cold McDonald’s and going home due to a bad, bad weather. Rain poured last night as if it’s not going to rain again :| It just ruined our Friday night plan. Oh well, at least, I was with him the whole night :) <3
Went home at around 10AM, Saturday morning.

A friend of mine came to our house without notice with these 2 cakes on hand. Sweet. I don’t actually eat these flavors but now I will :D The suman was from Antipolo, I bought early this morning. The red wine was from our fridge :) Photo taken using Tracy (Nokia C3-01 with 5MP camera).

This photo was taken while we’re watching A Perfect Storm. She’s Aliyah, our ex-neighbor. Her dad says I look like her so I asked my mom to capture a picture of us. Hehe. Unfortunately, this is the only picture that I have in my phone on the first day of January 2011.
